Building a computer, what is wrong…?
All right, I’m building a simple computer with a touchscreen to just do simple tasks like check the weather, etc.. I thought it would be a simple plug and play deal but I’ve run into some problems.
Heres my parts list…
* Intel SU810 motherboard
* Two 64MB PC100 SDRAM modules
* Intel Celeron 500MHz processor socket 370
* Intel Socket 370-compatible heatsink and fan (came with processor)
*Gateway 4000437 NLX riser card
*512MB USB flash drive
*power cable that i got from another computer
*Standard ATX power supply
I know there really old but all im ganna have it do is run Damn small linux so it is sufficient.
With that out of the way heres my problem. I plug everything in and i press the power button and the power light goes on (can be seen in pic. 2), but neither the cpu fan goes on nor the powr supply fan goes on. Any ideas?

Check the light on the motherboard (there should be a green light somewhere that turns on if its on). If there is a light somewhere and it doesn’t turn on, its likely to be the motherboard (or possibly the power supply, but I doubt that since you’ve got the power light turning on). If it does turn on, then its probably the CPU or memory thats the issue.
Check Ebay for Riser Module products.
