What is the largest amount of GHz a processor had on the retail market?
Please don’t try to tell me not to just pay attention to the number of GHz because I know not to do that on a normal basis, but I need to make a bar graph with amount of GHz. thanks.

aside from overclocking, the CPU with the highest clock rate that was ever on the retail market was the Pentium 4 670 clocked nominal at 3.8 Ghz.
the highest ever reached clock rate is a whopping 8.18 Ghz on an overclocked Pentium 4 631 that has a nominal rate of 3.00 Ghz. this result is astonishing, because the 631 is the slowest CPU of the 6×1 family (core name: Cedar Mill).

for processors available on the retail market 64 bit bus width is the most you can get (for main frame CPU’s it’s 128 or even 256 bit but those are not available on the retail market).
the most physical memory a PC can have nowadays is 24 GB (only on the latest X58 motherboards for i7 CPU’s, 6 sticks each having 4GB).
main frame computers can have several Terabytes (TB, 1TB = 1024GB) of ram.
