My computer power supply is out because the voltage was not the same as the motherboard, so I needed to know the name of the original feed so I can buy it.

Here's a site that offers original power eMachines. If I knew what the model number was, I could give you a link to the exact PSU (Power Supply Unit), which you need. Psu version shown (photo) in the top of the site is a Micro-ATX. Now this does not mean this little one will Psu you. You must know the model number of your eMachines computer. It was at the back of the computer. Should be close Real Microsoft Windows product key (sticker Hologram) You could use an eMachines larger PSU. I mean the physical size, not power. This would be an ATX form factor. I really like to know what you mean by "the tension has not been the same as the motherboard. Have you tried using a power supply from another computer? Dell say? (I think HP and Compaq may have done that too at a time given, but do not quote me. eMachines? Never heard or saw it) At one point, Dell has changed their son around the 20/24 pin ATX connector. The color code is the same, (Orange = 3.3 volts. Yellow = 12 volts, 5 volts = red, and black are still on the ground. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_power_supply down a bit more than half of the section – diagrams> wiring, and look at the chart below -> 24 pin ATX power connector. See the side of the connector that holds the lock on him. (The plastic tab that locks the plug in the female connector) Looking from this side, Number 1 pin is all the way left. He has a son whose insulation is Orange. (3.3 volts) I told you so, so you can look at the map and guide how the son is supposed to be in the male connector. eMachines, use this configuration for their son in the 20/24 pin ATX motherboard. You can have a 20-pin connector 24-pin or 20 pin connector pins that 4 more that will break if you need. (They will then be in a square connector for themselves) Scroll down further and you arrive at the ATX 24 pin power cable main. Further down the ATX 20 +4 pin main power cable. (I refer to the front and back. You can see the connector at the end of the cable, or just the cable itself. You know what I mean, no?) Scrolling further down you get to info on Dell. I think they stopped around 2000-2002. The color code on the isolation son has never changed. Just the location of the son, were changed at some point. (Orange is still 3.3 volts. Yellow is 12 volts. Red is 5 volts, and black is ground) If you're referring to a fact that your eMachines is expected to use some power, and you put more power in PSU, and it burned, I say no. (Sorry for the Run-On!) With a computer, you can put a million watt PSU, and it would not hurt! Why? As a computer will use the power it needs. (Power needed) neither more nor less. 100 watts for the surf?
